The Government Plan reflects the Government of Bahrain’s strategic priorities over the next four years and focuses on delivering sustainable change in line with HM King Hamad’s development programme.
The Office of the First Deputy Prime Minister was established in March 2013 following the appointment of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince as First Deputy Prime Minister.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa was appointed Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain on 9 March 1999. His Royal Highness also holds the positions of Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister. His Royal Highness has a prominent role in promoting the objectives of development within the Kingdom, in accordance with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad. In 2001 His Royal Highness chaired the committee in charge of enacting the principles of the National Action Charter, and supports important development of economic, education and health services. In addition to further strengthening communication channels with all segments of Bahraini society, His Royal Highness works to enhance cooperation and coordination with various countries.
